Wester-Amstel is one of the few remaining country estates surrounding the city of Amsterdam: a monumental house with a number of gardens, majestic avenues and walking paths. The country estate from 1662 is an oasis of peace, in the middle of the city, in the middle of the countryside. Only a stone’s throw from the busy Amsterdam city life, this late Summer garden shoot has been photographed by Alena Shevchenko, and videographed by Timo and Kay.

Since the shoot took place on a country estate with numerous gardens and therefore lots of beautiful greenery, and also to capture the late Summer vibe before Autumn would knock on the door, we chose to incorporate hues of yellow – one of the best colours to express happiness and to create a vibrant atmosphere. The combination with golden tones work so well as this gives it a rich and elegant look, as you may sometimes see in barok or rococo-style interior.
The bride’s boudoir look can be described as romantic, glamorous and feminine sexy. Wearing a white see-through robe with long asymmetrical sleeves, which is hand made of soft tulle and trimmed with sequins lace. Shining details with sequins make it fairy. This robe is perfectly combined with a lace bodysuit.

The vintage Victorian-Edwardian style wedding dress had beautiful ruffled details on the back, making it playful and romantic, perfect for a garden wedding setting.

A romantic table for four was set up between the trees and enjoys the landscape and details of the nature. The floral arrangements by Elena incorporate unexpected florals of the late Summer harvest. Sylvia from De Schoonschrijfster created simplistic stationery with calligraphy on precious papers. Perfectly combined with the modern plates of the Golden Glister collection from Représentable.

The cake, waiting on an elegant 19th Century French Louis XV Style table to be cut, is decorated with gold and edible flowers, and filled with pear jam and vanilla cream. Complimented by macarons and edible flower lollipops, served on sweet pink handmade epoxy coasters.
